Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a natural product that has many health benefits, including for hair. It can be used as a rinse to help balance the pH of the scalp, reduce dandruff, and promote hair growth.  In addition to giving it a natural glow.

To use ACV as a hair rinse, mix one part ACV with two parts water. Apply the mixture to your scalp and hair, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it out. You can use this rinse once or twice a week.

ACV can also be used to make a scalp mask. To do this, mix one tablespoon of ACV with one tablespoon of honey. Apply the mask to your scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing it out.

You can find and try some products that content apple cider vinegar:

Here are some of the benefits of using apple cider vinegar for hair:

  • Balances the pH of the scalp. The scalp's pH should be slightly acidic, but it can become alkaline due to factors such as shampooing, styling products, and environmental pollution. This can lead to dandruff, dryness, and hair loss. ACV can help to restore the scalp's natural pH balance.

  • Reduces dandruff. Dandruff is caused by a fungus that thrives in an alkaline environment. ACV can help to kill the fungus and reduce dandruff.

  • Promotes hair growth. ACV can help to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth.

  • Adds shine and volume to hair. ACV can help to remove build-up of product and oil from the hair, leaving it looking shiny and volumized.

If you have dry, itchy scalp or dandruff, you can try using apple cider vinegar as a rinse or mask. It is important to note that ACV can be drying to the hair, so it is important to dilute it with water. You should also avoid using it if you have sensitive skin.

If you are considering using apple cider vinegar for your hair, it is a good idea to talk to your doctor or a hairstylist first. They can help you determine if ACV is right for you and how to use it safely.

Here are some additional tips for using apple cider vinegar for hair:

  • Start with a small amount of ACV and gradually increase the amount as needed.

  • Do a patch test on a small area of your scalp before using ACV on your entire head.

  • Rinse ACV out thoroughly after using it.

  • If you have any concerns, talk to your doctor or a hairstylist.
